Journalist Lands 737 MAX 9 Simulator in San Francisco

A journalist recently got to experience flying a Boeing 737 MAX 9 simulator at United Airlines' flight training center in Denver. The simulator is remarkably realistic and used around the clock for pilot training and re-certification.

The journalist, who had previous flight training from the U.S. Air Force, spent about 45 minutes flying the simulator. They departed from Las Vegas (LAS), then headed to San Francisco (SFO) where they successfully landed, although they admitted it was a little bumpy.

Captain Larsen, a United pilot, accompanied the journalist and helped them navigate the simulator's features. The simulator can instantly simulate any type of weather condition, including intense storms and turbulence.
