JPMorgan Accused of Aiding Ex-Atty in $18.5M Client Theft
The Chapter 7 trustee representing bankrupt firm Kossoff PLLC has sued JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, alleging that the bank assisted the firm's principal in stealing at least $18.5 million from clients.
The lawsuit claims that JPMorgan helped Kossoff's former attorney, who is also a principal of the firm, to siphon off funds meant for clients through various means, including wire transfers and withdrawals.
The trustee is seeking damages against JPMorgan, but the bank has yet to comment on the allegations.
