JPMorgan Aggressively Expands Asia Pacific Corporate Banking Workforce Through 2027
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is expanding its Asia Pacific corporate banking workforce at an aggressive pace, driven by a surge in revenue that has surpassed 20% this year.
The bank's regional heads, Oliver Brinkmann and Kerwin Clayton, confirmed the hiring plans, which will continue through 2027. The expansion will cover teams serving mid-sized and large companies, innovation economy clients, financial institutions, and non-bank financial institutions.
The growth is fueled by a wave of outbound expansion by Asian companies and a boom in investment tied to artificial intelligence, data centers, and supply chain reconfiguration. Several key markets have outpaced the regional average, including Taiwan, South Korea, China, and Australia.
JPMorgan's corporate banking division provides treasury services, lending, trade finance, and advisory to corporations, financial institutions, and government entities. The bank's decision to continue hiring at a double-digit clip signals confidence in the current revenue momentum having structural underpinnings rather than being a temporary spike.
