JPMorgan Alum Matt Zames Joins Trump Administration as Social Security Advisor
Former JPMorgan executive Matt Zames is joining the Trump administration as an unpaid advisor to the Social Security Administration, according to people familiar with the move. Zames will assist his former colleague, Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano, with the agency's modernization efforts.
Zames has a background in technology deployment and expense management at JPMorgan, where he spearheaded large-scale projects across the bank's global operations. He is slated to start Monday at the Social Security Administration headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.
The move underscores the growing presence of former JPMorgan executives in senior government roles, with Bisignano already leading the agency. Zames's experience could inform the Social Security Administration's efforts to modernize its systems and processes, including legacy system upgrades and digital service improvements.
