JPMorgan Chase is cutting more jobs at its Jersey City office in New Jersey. This latest round of layoffs brings the total number of roles impacted by five workforce reduction notices this year to 541.

The new round of position cuts was detailed in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filing submitted to state authorities. According to the report, the reduction period began on August 19 and is scheduled to run through November 15.

This marks the fifth time the US banking giant has notified New Jersey regulators regarding its Jersey City operations in 2026. The previous filings this year included notices for 120 employees in February, 134 positions in March, 51 employees in May, and 172 workers in July.
