JPMorgan Chase Expands US Branch Network with Over 160 New Locations
JPMorgan Chase is expanding its branch network across the US with a series of major openings and renovations. Over the past five years, the bank has invested in upgrading its branches nationwide, and in 2026 alone it aims to open more than 160 new locations and renovate over 600 existing ones.
The bank's strategy is driven by customer demand for flexibility, with customers wanting both digital self-service tools and personal assistance from branch staff. JPMorgan Chase currently operates the largest number of branches in the US, with over 5,000 compared to Wells Fargo Bank's close to 4,200.
In Chicago, the bank has opened a new two-story headquarters on the Magnificent Mile, featuring a Financial Center for private banking and a branch on the ground floor. The location was chosen due to its iconic status as a hub of commerce and community, making it an ideal spot for this flagship destination.
