JPMorgan Chase Hit with Trade Secret Ruling Blow
JPMorgan Chase Bank suffered a setback in its lawsuit against a data analytics company over allegations of trade secret misuse. A Delaware federal judge ruled that JPMorgan still hasn't tied the alleged misconduct to either Delaware or Ohio, making it difficult for the bank to pursue state law claims.
The dispute centers around credit card data provided by JPMorgan to the data analytics company for regulatory purposes. The bank had claimed that this data was misused and sought compensation under state trade secret laws in both Delaware and Ohio. However, Judge ruled that JPMorgan failed to establish a connection between the alleged misconduct and either of these states.
