JPMorgan Chase Raises Billions Through Record Profit-Fueled Bond Issuance
JPMorgan Chase & Co. has raised new funding through various callable notes and bond offerings across maturities from 2028 to 2056, totaling billions of dollars.
This move comes alongside a record Q2 profit of US$21.2 billion and higher full-year net interest income guidance, which the bank believes will help it absorb rising regulatory and capital demands.
The issuance of long-term bonds supports JPMorgan's growth initiatives in payments, digital, and wealth management, but also raises concerns about future margin pressure.
JPMorgan's narrative projects $217.0 billion revenue and $65.4 billion earnings by 2029, with some analysts already assuming flat earnings near $63.5 billion.
