JPMorgan Ditches Polymarket Over Regulatory Fears
Regulatory concerns led JPMorgan Chase to end its banking relationship with prediction market Polymarket in October 2025, according to a report by the Financial Times.
The move came after an enforcement action imposed by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) prohibited Polymarket from allowing U.S. customers to use its platform.
Despite this, Polymarket maintained that it continued to have a close relationship with JPMorgan, stating that 'Any suggestion otherwise fundamentally mischaracterizes our relationship.'
The news comes as prediction markets face growing scrutiny from regulators and lawmakers, including an investigation by the New York City Council into Polymarket and three other companies for allegedly using deceptive marketing tactics and targeting minors.
