JPMorgan Ditches Polymarket Over Regulatory Worries Amid Ongoing Scrutiny

Polymarket, a prediction market platform, has faced significant regulatory challenges in recent years. In October 2025, JPMorgan Chase ended its banking relationship with Polymarket due to regulatory concerns, directing the company to find another bank.

The decision came as Polymarket was rebuilding its U.S. regulatory position after being required to pay a $1.4 million civil penalty and wind down markets in January 2022 for non-compliance with federal derivatives law.

Despite the account closure, Polymarket maintains a close relationship with JPMorgan across multiple entities, including operational integrations and customer fund flows.
