JPMorgan Dumps Polymarket Over Regulatory Concerns
JPMorgan Chase has ended its banking relationship with Polymarket, a prediction market platform, due to growing regulatory concerns in the US. The bank had been providing banking services to Polymarket but asked the platform to shift to another partner in October 2025.
The decision comes as prediction markets face increased scrutiny from state authorities across the US. Since 2022, Polymarket has faced regulatory pressure, including a $1.4 million fine from the CFTC for allegedly operating unregistered derivatives trading services.
Despite ending its banking alliance with Polymarket, JPMorgan continues to have ties with the platform. The bank invited Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan to speak at a private client event in February 2026 and has expressed interest in potentially working as an underwriter if Polymarket goes public.
