JPMorgan Helps Insiders Cash Out Early as SpaceX Aims for 30 Daily Launches
SpaceX's (SPCX) insiders may be able to access cash from their shares sooner than expected, thanks to JPMorgan Chase. The bank reportedly allows some eligible employees and early investors to use their newly listed shares as loan collateral before its customary 135-day waiting period.
This arrangement could help them avoid selling their stock and potentially triggering taxes. According to a Financial Times report, JPMorgan earned $75 million from its role in SpaceX's June IPO.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk has been promoting the idea of developing another Starbase near Pecan Island, Louisiana. This new location would support high-cadence Starship operations and could potentially accommodate 30 launches per day, according to Jack Kuhr, a Payload Space Industry Research Director.
