JPMorgan Hires Digital Assets Expert Amid Blockchain Expansion
JPMorgan Chase is doubling down on its blockchain strategy by hiring an Executive Director for digital assets. The role, which was first announced in August 2026, will sit within the bank's Consumer & Community Bank Digital Assets segment and Markets Digital Assets group.
The bank has been actively recruiting across various seniority levels within its digital assets teams, indicating a team that is scaling up rather than filling a single vacancy. This hiring push comes after JPMorgan brought in Oliver Harris, a former Goldman Sachs executive, to lead the Kinexys blockchain division in April 2026.
Kinexys has become the centerpiece of JPMorgan's blockchain strategy, supporting tokenized money market funds, programmable payments, and multi-currency blockchain deposit accounts. The bank's commitment to blockchain-based financial infrastructure is clear, with Adam Carson, who heads Chase Digital Assets, indicating that the hiring effort is part of a broader plan to make this technology a core part of banking.
