JPMorgan Chase is taking steps to protect itself and other critical infrastructure from advanced AI risks. The bank's CEO, Jamie Dimon, has reached out to leaders of major banks, regional banks, and technology companies to form an alliance against the threat.

The Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI) aims to develop a broader understanding of how AI is being used across vital industries and identify hidden threats. It also seeks to establish security standards needed to address these risks.

Dimon has described himself as a supporting participant in the initiative, crediting ACI Executive Chairman Tom Fanning with building the group's foundation over recent months.

The ACI membership includes companies from different industries, including Mastercard and Berkshire Hathaway. Its goal is to handle AI security as a collective effort, rather than leaving it to banks or technology developers alone.
