JPMorgan Chase has hired David Fishman, a veteran technology dealmaker from Bank of America, to lead its North America technology mergers and acquisitions practice. Fishman will join JPMorgan later this year as head of North America technology M&A.

The move is part of a broader restructuring of JPMorgan's technology banking leadership, which includes the formation of a Technology M&A Leadership and Advisory Council to serve key clients in the sector. Fishman and Vineet Seth, who currently leads North America technology M&A, will sit on the new council.

Fishman most recently served as co-head of technology, media and telecommunications investment banking at Bank of America, where he spent nearly 16 years. He resigned earlier this week to join JPMorgan.
