JPMorgan to Keep Hitting the Hiring Spree Button in Asia-Pacific for 2027
JPMorgan Chase is planning to maintain its hiring momentum in Asia-Pacific for 2027, driven by strong corporate banking growth and increasing investments in artificial intelligence, data centres, and regional supply chains.
The US banking major has already expanded its Asia-Pacific corporate banking workforce by approximately 15% this year, following a 20% increase in 2025. Regional executives Oliver Brinkmann and Kerwin Clayton told Reuters that the bank intends to continue hiring at a similar pace next year.
The planned hiring will cover teams serving mid-sized and large companies, innovation-economy businesses, financial institutions, and non-bank financial institutions across multiple markets in Asia.
JPMorgan's corporate banking revenue in Asia-Pacific has grown by well above 20% year-to-date, supported by Asian companies expanding internationally, increasing intra-regional trade, and investments connected with AI infrastructure, data centres, and supply chains. Taiwan, South Korea, China, Australia, and Southeast Asia have all recorded growth above the regional rate.
