JPMorgan Chase is expanding its corporate bank in Asia Pacific at an impressive pace, with revenue growth exceeding 20% this year. The US bank has been hiring aggressively in the region, increasing staff by roughly 15% in 2026 and aiming to sustain a similar hiring pace in 2027.

The expansion covers teams serving mid-sized and large companies, as well as the innovation economy, financial institutions, and non-bank financial institutions. Oliver Brinkmann and Kerwin Clayton, regional heads at JPMorgan's Singapore office, attribute the growth to the region's increasing importance in global trade and finance.

The bank's focus on hiring is intended to maintain a competitive edge in Asia Pacific. Clayton confirmed that JPMorgan intends to continue hiring 'at a similar pace' in 2027, with the goal of expanding its services across various sectors and countries in the region.
