JPMorgan Chase is planning to maintain its hiring momentum in Asia-Pacific for 2027, driven by strong corporate banking growth and increasing investments in artificial intelligence. The US bank has already expanded its Asia-Pacific corporate banking workforce by around 20% in 2025 and aims to continue this pace in the next year.

The expansion will cover teams serving mid-sized and large companies, innovation-economy businesses, financial institutions, and non-bank financial institutions across multiple Asian markets. While the scale of recruitment will vary by location, the growth is expected to extend across several markets, including Taiwan, South Korea, China, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

The bank's corporate banking revenue in Asia-Pacific has grown by more than 20% year-to-date, supported by Asian companies expanding internationally and increasing intra-regional trade and investments connected with AI infrastructure, data centres, and supply chains. JPMorgan is allocating more capital to trade and working-capital finance as commerce within Asia increases.
