JPMorgan's Mauritius Unit Pays $311k, Ends Indian Trading Ban
JPMorgan Chase's (JPM) Mauritius unit has had its trading ban in India lifted after the company surrendered $311,230 tied to an index manipulation charge. The ban was imposed on Copthall Mauritius Investment, along with India-based firms.
The amount of 29.6 million rupees ($311,230) was reportedly paid by JPMorgan's unit as part of a settlement related to the index manipulation charge. This move has led to the lifting of the trading ban in India.
