Judge Rejects New Trial Request, Upholds $425M Privacy Verdict Against Google
A California federal judge has awarded $146.78 million in attorney fees to class counsel in a privacy class action against Google LLC over its collection of mobile-app data.
The same judge also denied the plaintiffs' request for a new trial on their claim under the California Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act (CDAFA) and rejected Google's bid to overturn a $425.65 million privacy verdict.
