Juice Shortages Hit Delta and JetBlue Amid Packaging Issues

Delta Air Lines is facing supply chain issues with its domestic flights, leaving some passengers without their favorite fruit juices. The airline's inventory of apple, orange, and cranberry juice has dwindled, forcing Delta to restrict supplies to first class on some flights.

JetBlue Airlines, another major carrier, has also informed its crew members that it is experiencing a shortage of cranberry cocktail since July 29. Instead of individual cans, JetBlue is now serving apple juice in one-liter Tetra Pak cartons in both business and coach classes.

The issue appears to be related to the packaging of these beverages, with Delta and JetBlue using Minute Maid products owned by Coca-Cola. The packaging manufacturers have been warning about tight North American beverage can capacity, which may contribute to the shortage.
