Juneau's Devil's Club Brewing Company is set to launch its first non-alcoholic beer, Cloud Hop, after receiving a $20,000 grant from American Express. The brewery used the funds to purchase a pasteurizer, a major investment that will allow them to produce non-alcoholic beer for the first time.

Evan Wood, co-founder of Devil's Club, said making non-alcoholic beer is 'super challenging' and requires expensive equipment. The new pasteurizer was necessary to ensure Cloud Hop tastes as good as their regular beers.

The brewery will host a launch party on August 22, featuring live music and special food offerings. The event will be all-ages and free to attend. Wood expressed gratitude to the Downtown Business Association for informing Devil's Club about the grant program, which allowed them to access funding they might not have been able to find otherwise.
