June's AI-Boosted Software Upgrade Platform Launches with $20M
June.ai Technologies Inc., an AI-powered startup that modernizes enterprise software environments, has launched with $20 million in funding. The pre-seed round was led by Time Ventures, which is affiliated with Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, and included prominent angel investors such as Michael Dell, Diane Greene, and George Kurtz.
The June platform automates some of the work historically managed by professional service companies, reducing the cost and speeding up software projects. It identifies opportunities to make software upgrades by analyzing data from a company's existing applications, and maps out business workflows that span multiple applications.
The platform collects feedback from employees using a chatbot that asks questions in natural language, which is then used to inform software development efforts. June can also spot inefficiencies in areas such as supply management and cybersecurity, and implement necessary changes using AI.
