KKB Bolsters Collaboration with IBM in Data Management and AI
Turkish credit bureau KKB is expanding its collaboration with IBM in data management, core system modernization, and artificial intelligence (AI). The partnership aims to enhance the agency's financial systems' security and efficiency on both mainframe and open systems. Isil Kilinc Gurtuna, general manager of IBM Türkiye, stated that the firm's long-standing collaboration with KKB was taken to the next level with the recent decision.
The expanded collaboration will enable KKB to more effectively manage integration across different systems, supporting over 8.5 billion transactions annually. Abdullah Bilgin, deputy general manager of IT and research and development (R&D) at KKB, emphasized that technology investments are crucial for preparing the future financial ecosystem.
KKB is strengthening its data infrastructure and critical mainframe to develop appropriate solutions using IBM's WatsonX family of AI products as part of its generative AI strategy. The modernization efforts accelerated by IBM have enhanced operational transparency, performance monitoring, and database management capabilities.
