Klamath County Fire Crews Contain Half-Acre Blaze Behind Home Depot

A fire broke out behind Home Depot in Klamath County on August 27, 2026, at approximately 4:05 p.m. The Klamath County Fire District 1 responded quickly to contain the blaze.

The fire was burning in approximately one-half acre of grass, brush, and low-level trees with flames reaching about 20 feet high, threatening several vehicles and residences.

Klamath County Fire District 1 dispatched 15 personnel, including four engine companies and two command staff. They were assisted by the Kingsley Field Fire Department in containing the fire.
