KLAR Stock Surges After CEO's Multi-Million Dollar Buy-In

Klarna Group plc's (KLAR) stock rose nearly 1% in overnight trading following reports that CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski acquired a significant stake in the company. The regulatory filing revealed that Siemiatkowski purchased 692,506 KLAR shares on August 26 for about $9.95 million at a weighted average price of $14.3669.

This latest buy brings Siemiatkowski's total ownership to over 25.34 million shares of the company. Meanwhile, Chief Financial Officer Niclas Neglén is set to present at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia and Technology Conference on September 9, where investors expect him to provide operational updates and potentially hint at forecasts.

Klarna's second-quarter (Q2) results showed revenue of $1.04 billion, up 27% year over year and ahead of Wall Street estimates. The company also beat expectations on earnings per share, which came in at $0.01 versus a loss of $0.06 per share.
