Korea Investment CORP Invests $66 Million in The Travelers Companies

Korea Investment CORP has made significant investments in The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TRV), acquiring a new position in its stock valued at approximately $66.03 million.

The fund acquired 200,023 shares of the insurance provider's stock during the second quarter, according to its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This marks a significant investment in TRV, as Korea Investment CORP owned just 0.10% of Travelers Companies' outstanding shares as of its last SEC filing.

The move by Korea Investment CORP is not an isolated incident, as other institutional investors have also increased their stakes in The Travelers Companies. Vanguard Group Inc., for example, lifted its stake in TRV by 0.5% during the fourth quarter, and BlackRock Inc. bought a new stake in the company valued at approximately $6.92 billion.
