Korean Retail Investors Flock to Merck, Crypto Amid Semicondutor Selloff
South Korean retail investors continued their net buying streak in U.S. equities, deploying over $800 million from August 20 to 26.
The total net purchase figure of $802.12 million surpassed the previous week's $986.81 million, with a significant shift in stock selection observed.
While semiconductor names were largely exited en masse, excluding Nvidia, investors concentrated buying in Merck, which announced cancer vaccine clinical success, and cryptocurrency-related stocks.
