The KOSPI began trading at 6358.27, down 237.18 points (-3.60%) from the previous day.

On Friday, August 31st, the New York Stock Exchange's three major indexes closed strong as Amazon's good performance revived investor sentiment in technology stocks.

The S&P 500 Index rose 52.09 points (0.70%) to 7489.72, and the Nasdaq Composite Index also closed at 25,373.85, up 251.68 points (1.00%) from the previous day.
