Kvapil Doubles Down on O'Reilly Series Success
Racing driver Carson Kvapil secured his second consecutive victory in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, winning the HyVee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway. This repeat performance solidifies Kvapil's position in the season standings and follows his first career series win two weeks ago at Indianapolis.
The final laps of the race saw Kvapil take the lead on a restart after a caution with five laps remaining, passing Ross Chastain to secure the win. Behind Kvapil, Rajah Caruth finished in second place and William Sawalich took third.
Kvapil expressed his satisfaction with the repeat performance, stating that it was 'a big one' and helped alleviate doubts about his ability to follow up on his first win.
The victory sets Kvapil up well for the championship chase, which he believes requires winning races and running up front. The O'Reilly Series has a several week hiatus before returning to Daytona for the Winn-Dixie 250 Powered by Coca-Cola.
