L Catterton Sells Thorne to Procter & Gamble
L Catterton has agreed to sell its health and wellness business, Thorne, to Procter & Gamble (P&G) in a deal that's expected to close later this year.
Thorne was founded in 1984 and has been a trusted partner in providing science-backed health solutions. The company serves consumers, athletes, and healthcare professionals with nutritional supplements and technology-driven tools.
L Catterton acquired Thorne in late 2023, taking it private. The deal will position the brand to continue advancing its healthcare mission while reflecting Thorne and P&G's shared commitment to building trusted brands through quality, innovation, and consumer trust.
P&G's CEO of Health Care, Paul Gama, described the deal as an important step for the division. He noted that consumer interest in self-care, prevention, wellness, and personalized health continues to grow, and Thorne strengthens P&G's position in premium wellness with a trusted, science-backed brand.
