Labor Share Hits Record Low as Workers Rely on Federal Aid

American employees are receiving their lowest share of national wealth since records began in 1947. The Bureau of Labor Statistics has recorded a labor share of 52.8%, down from previous years.

The S&P 500 has seen a 600% rise since the century began, while wages have only increased by 12.5% after adjusting for inflation.

A Government Accountability Office report found that in 11 states, Amazon had 12,346 employees on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and 11,338 on Medicaid.
