Lando Norris Fires Back After Being Told Not to Drink Coke
Lando Norris, the reigning Formula 1 world champion, was left frustrated after losing a likely win at the Spanish Grand Prix due to a virtual safety car timing issue.
The incident occurred when Lance Stroll pulled off the circuit with brake issues in the final sector, resulting in a virtual safety car. Unfortunately for Norris, he had just passed the pit entry as the VSC was confirmed, while it ended before the conclusion of the following lap.
Norris fell from first to third due to having to take a normal pit stop later in the race. He was seen drinking a can of Coca-Cola in the cooldown room, which is sponsored by PepsiCo, not McLaren's sponsor. When told to put the Coca-Cola away, Norris responded with: 'I just did a race, so I'm allowed to drink what I would like. Thank you so much.'
