Lando Norris Sparks Controversy Over Coca-Cola in F1 Cooler Room

F1 driver Lando Norris sparked controversy at the Spanish Grand Prix after he was told to stop drinking Coca-Cola in the cooldown room. The 26-year-old McLaren star had just finished third in the race, which was marred by a virtual safety car that cost him a likely victory.

According to former F1 team boss Guenther Steiner, Norris should not have done this as he is a professional athlete. 'If you are a professional, you don't do that,' Steiner said on the Red Flags podcast. 'You know what you can do and what you cannot do. You're well trained. He shouldn't have done it.'

The incident highlighted the commercial priorities at play in Formula 1, with Coca-Cola being a partner of McLaren while Pepsi is an official F1 partner.
