Larsen & Toubro Builds Remediation Practice Around IBM's $5B Open-Source Program
Larsen & Toubro Group's services company LTM is building a Lightwell remediation services practice around IBM and Red Hat's $5 billion open-source program. This collaboration aims to secure open-source software with AI-generated, vendor-validated fixes.
The Lightwell clearinghouse produces validated, production-ready patches for open-source dependencies, which LTM will help get into customer environments. The company is planning a portfolio that spans remediation strategy, dependency analysis, risk-based prioritization, and large-scale deployment support.
As AI accelerates vulnerability discovery faster than enterprises can remediate, the Lightwell model relies on a clearinghouse staffed by over 20,000 engineers to ingest vulnerability data from live deployments, validate fixes, and ship them as production-ready patches through subscription services. LTM's collaboration with IBM is backed by its standing as an IBM Platinum Partner.
