LaSalle Park Cleanup Nears Completion

LaSalle Park in South Bend is nearing completion of its cleanup efforts. The City has been working closely with Honeywell and federal and state environmental agencies to collect over 1,200 soil and water samples from the area, testing for more than 150 possible contaminants.

In an effort to improve the land, around 1,200 truckloads of clean soil have been brought in. The cleanup is a result of years of work to address pollution concerns at the park.
