Latin Music Stars Unite for Earthquake Relief Concert
Latin music stars are coming together for a benefit concert to raise money for those affected by devastating earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia.
The 'Unidos por Los Nuestros' (United for Our Own) concert will take place on Sunday at Miami's Kaseya Center and be livestreamed on Univision, ViX, WAPA, TelevisaUnivision radio stations, iHeartLatino, and Venevision Play in Venezuela.
The event was initially created to benefit Venezuela after a magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquake struck northern areas of the country just 39 seconds apart on June 24, killing at least 6,300 people.
However, plans changed after Monday's deadly 7.4 magnitude earthquake in western Colombia, which has left at least 265 people dead and nearly 500 missing, according to President Abelardo de la Espriella.
The concert will feature a lineup of Latin music artists from across the region, including Marc Anthony, Luis Fonsi, Chayanne, Feid, Jay Wheeler, Piso 21, Gente de Zona, Elena Rose, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Ricardo Montaner, Mau y Ricky, Olga Tañón, and many others.
The event aims to address both immediate and long-term needs, including rebuilding homes, repairing schools and community spaces, supporting children, and providing mental health support.
