Law Firm and Salesforce Collaborate on AI-Driven Intelligence for Lawyer Decision-Making
Wilson Sonsini, a leading law firm in Silicon Valley, and Salesforce have been working together to prepare for the agentic AI era. At ILTACON, they took to the stage to discuss their collaboration, with Salesforce's global account director Kiel Parker stating that 'client relationship management isn't enough.'
The two companies have been working together since Wilson Sonsini started using Salesforce as a pitch and context platform for client relationships. The firm's CIO, Jeffrey Lolley, explained that they initially used Salesforce to institutionalize data and create a 'box' that could do great things. Over time, it became an overarching pitch management platform, with all RFPs being fed in.
Wilson Sonsini is unique in Silicon Valley, with data spread across multiple platforms such as NetDocuments and G-Suite. Lolley emphasized the importance of embracing this culture and creating a data lake house that can govern and provide insights to users. The firm has built an engine that makes decisions for lawyers, taking decision-making out of their hands.
Parker asked Lolley about trust in using Salesforce, with Lolley explaining that adoption rose over time due to success stories and incremental licensing growth. He emphasized the importance of extracting data from people's heads through automation and getting clean data first.
