Lawrence Wilkinson Sr Passes Away Aged 90 After Decades of Work
Lawrence J. Wilkinson Sr., an 90-year-old resident of Ottomine Way in Johnsonville, New York, passed away on August 2, 2026, at the Albany Medical Center. He was born and educated in Troy and had a long career spanning multiple industries.
Wilkinson started his working life at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy before moving into masonry work and later spending 33 years at Honeywell in Green Island, followed by a stint at Capital Cities in Glenmont. He was an animal lover who enjoyed lawn work and gardening.
The late Lawrence J. Wilkinson Sr. is predeceased by his wife Joyce Davenport Wilkinson, who died in 2022. He leaves behind five children: Lawrence Wilkinson Jr., Anita Haight, Robert Wilkinson, James Wilkinson, and the late Anthony and Paul Wilkinson. His funeral services will take place on August 4, 2026.
