Legacy of Love: Margaret Stanton Leaves Lasting Impact on Family and Friends
Margaret 'Maggie' Rollins Stanton, a devoted family woman and adventurer, passed away at home on July 25, 2026, after a seven-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 71 years old.
Born in Richmond, Virginia, on January 15, 1955, Maggie grew up in Rockville, where she excelled academically and socially. She was honored as 'Achiever of The Year' among over 600 Junior Achievement students during her senior year at St. Gertrude High School.
Maggie's corporate career began with Procter & Gamble in sales after marrying Robert 'Bob' H. Stanton in 1977. They had four children, William, Barclay, Carter, and Whitney, whom she raised while advancing her career alongside Bob.
The family moved to Minnesota, then the Republic of Singapore, where Maggie immersed herself in expat life by volunteering and coaching. After returning to Minnesota, she became a Mary Kay consultant and eventually settled back in Virginia with her husband in 2009.
