Leveraged ETFs Surge on Microsoft, Amazon Earnings
Last week saw some notable performances from leveraged and inverse ETFs, particularly those focused on Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet stocks. The top performer was MSFU, Direxion's Daily MSFT Bull 2X ETF, which provides 2x leveraged exposure to the daily price movement for shares of Microsoft stock. With nearly 45% weekly gains, it topped the list.
Microsoft's strong fiscal Q4 earnings report drove the gains, highlighted by Azure cloud growth and growing Copilot adoption. Other Microsoft-focused funds also made it onto the list, including MSFL, GraniteShares' 2x Long MSFT Daily ETF, with over 45% weekly gains, and MSFX, T-Rex's 2X Long Microsoft Daily Target ETF.
Amazon stocks also saw significant gains, driven by strong Q2 earnings and surging cloud growth. AMZZ, GraniteShares' 2x Long AMZN Daily ETF, ranked fourth on the list with 34% weekly gains, while AMZU, Direxion's Daily AMZN Bull 2X ETF, followed closely behind.
