Libra Wealth Doubles Down on IBM with $800K Investment
Libra Wealth LLC has made a new investment in International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), purchasing 2,851 shares valued at approximately $802,000. This represents about 0.2% of Libra's portfolio and makes IBM their 25th largest holding.
The institutional investor's purchase is not an isolated instance, as other hedge funds and institutions have also increased their stakes in the company during the second quarter.
IBM has been making significant strides in the field of quantum computing, with its recent acquisition of HRL Laboratories adding to its capabilities. Analyst James Friedman from Susquehanna raised his price target for IBM to $235, citing upcoming catalysts in this area. However, it remains an emerging opportunity rather than a near-term earnings driver.
IBM's stock has fallen sharply after missing second-quarter revenue expectations, but the company is expected to see growth in biological computing and other areas.
