Lil Durk Accused of Paying Hitmen with Amex Card in Murder-for-Hire Plot
Rapper Lil Durk is facing serious allegations in connection with a murder-for-hire trial that could see him spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted.
Prosecutors claim Durk orchestrated a hit on rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for the 2020 killing of his close friend King Von. The 2022 shooting killed Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a 'Lul Pab' Robinson.
The prosecution revealed new details about how Durk allegedly financed the plot. According to courtroom updates, the alleged hitmen had their flights paid for with Durk's American Express card. This is not an isolated incident, as Durk allegedly spent thousands at Niemans and Amiri in the same month.
Prosecutors also claim Durk attempted to flee the country when he learned of the investigation. He was arrested in Miami as he tried to board flights to Dubai and Switzerland with a private jet booked to Italy. His defense team maintains he was simply in Miami to work with DJ Khaled.
