Lingnau Sticks by Hold Rating on NextEra Energy Amid Contrasting Analyst Views

Erste Group analyst Stephan Lingnau has maintained his Hold rating on NextEra Energy. The company's shares closed at $84.22 yesterday. According to TipRanks, Lingnau has an impressive track record with an average return of 8.8% and a success rate of 57.78%. He covers the Consumer Cyclical sector, which includes prominent companies such as McDonald's, Marriott International, and Tesla.

Lingnau is not the only analyst who has recently issued a Hold rating on NextEra Energy. On August 17, DBS's Pei Hwa Ho also assigned a Hold to the company. However, in a report released just four days later, Morgan Stanley assigned a Buy rating to NextEra Energy.

NextEra Energy reported its latest earnings results for the quarter ending June 30. The company generated $7.53 billion in revenue and posted a net profit of $3.14 billion. In comparison, last year's quarterly revenue was $6.7 billion with a net profit of $2.03 billion.
