Local Businesses Welcome New Teachers at MSU-WP Luncheon
On Tuesday, the Greater West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce and Missouri State University-West Plains co-hosted a welcome luncheon for new teachers at Hass-Darr Hall on campus. The event drew about 100 faculty and staff from various schools in the area.
The MSU-WP Chancellor Zora Mulligan delivered opening remarks, while the chamber provided lunch. Local businesses sponsored gift bags for attendees, which included items from Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Caterpillar, Safe Harbor Yoga and Wellness, Wood & Huston Bank, Ozarks Healthcare, and West Plains Bank & Trust Company.
The event aimed to welcome new teachers ahead of the upcoming school year. Classes are set to begin on August 24 for all public school districts across Howell County.
