Lockheed Martin and IBM Launch Quantum Innovation Hub in Switzerland
A new quantum innovation hub has been established in Switzerland through an offset agreement between US defense contractor Lockheed Martin and technology corporation IBM.
The hub, located at ETH Zurich research university, will host Switzerland's first dedicated IBM Quantum System Two, a powerful quantum computer that will accelerate advanced research in quantum sensing, artificial intelligence, and aerospace technologies.
The project aims to advance the strategic collaboration between Lockheed Martin and IBM, combining their expertise in quantum computing, AI, and additive manufacturing. The hub will provide resources, expertise, and access to the quantum computer for Swiss industries, startups, and academia.
