Billionaire Lord Alan Sugar has clashed with American Express over a rejected request for a credit limit increase. The 79-year-old Apprentice star, who is worth £1.138 billion, was turned down despite speaking to a UK-based representative who was aware of his wealth.
Sugar took to social media platform X to express his frustration, calling the company 'a bunch of idiots' for refusing his request. He claimed that not even his fortune makes a difference in the decision-making process.
The Lord faced backlash from users accusing him of seeking special treatment and flaunting his wealth. However, he defended himself by explaining that he needs a credit card because he doesn't carry large amounts of cash with him.
