Billionaire Lord Sugar was denied an increase to his American Express credit limit despite being aware of his financial status. He took to social media to vent about his experience, saying he spent an hour on the phone with customer service and was eventually refused.

The Apprentice star claimed that four different people were involved in the process before he finally spoke to someone who knew who he was and his financial situation. However, his request for a credit limit increase was denied due to the bank's system.

Lord Sugar, who has an estimated net worth of £1.14bn according to The Sunday Times Rich List, said he uses his Amex card to buy large items and needs a credit limit increase because he doesn't carry cash with him.
