Loret Coverly Miller, Devoted Catholic and Equestrian, Passes Away at 91

Loret Coverly Miller, affectionately known as Loret, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at the age of 91 in Rockville, Maryland. Born on October 5, 1934, in Covington, Virginia, she ventured out of her small hometown to attend St. Mary's of the Woods College in Indiana, where she excelled as an accomplished equestrian.

Loret settled in the Washington DC area and eventually in Bethesda, MD, working on Capitol Hill and at IBM. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and an active member of St. Jane DeChantel Church in Bethesda, MD.

Loret will be remembered fondly for her social graces, southern charm, and love for fashion, especially the color red. She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.
