Louisville Man Arrested for Using Victim's Credit Cards to Buy Over $1,000 Worth of Gift Cards
A 61-year-old Louisville man was arrested in Evansville, Indiana, for allegedly using a victim's credit cards to purchase multiple gift cards. According to police, Christopher Kitrell attempted to use multiple bank cards to buy gift cards at an east side Walmart on Saturday afternoon.
Kitrell reportedly successfully bought one $400 gift card using a Bank of America card belonging to a woman and then went to a nearby Home Depot, where he used a Chase Bank card belonging to the same victim to purchase three $200 gift cards.
Police pulled Kitrell over after he left the Home Depot store and found that his Kentucky driver's license status was 'revoked' and that his vehicle didn't have a license plate on it. Inside the trunk, they discovered the vehicle's license plate and $1,000 worth of gift cards.
